It is within the borders of Güzelçamlı and 28 km from Kuşadası. away. Dilek peninsula, which is between Küçük Menderes and Büyük Menderes, is a part of the five hundred million years old meander mass. Dilek Mountain, which is located on the peninsula with an average of 20 km in bird flight length and 6 km in width, forms the western extension of the Aydın Mountains.
The highest point is Dilek Hill, the peninsula has a wild appearance that is fragmented by many deep canyons and streams divided into valleys. These canyons and valleys are shelters for various animal and plant species. The national park was separated as the National Park in Samsun in 19.05.1966, including the Ak Dere and Karine Forest Region. Its current area is 11,012 hectares. Its average height is 600-650 meters. The highest point, Dilek Hill, is 1237 meters. Güzelçamlı National Park is the richest national park in Turkey with its flora and fauna. In the national park; Starting from Hatay and ending at the Turkish-Russian border, a large part of the vegetation, especially trees and shrubs, is present in this small peninsula.
This feature is related to the geological structure of the peninsula. It is possible to find all the vegetation of the Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts. There are red pine and larch forests on the peninsula. The bottom of the forest is covered with maquis, which is in the form of trees and in such a density that it cannot be entered, which has shown a rich development in species.
