Kuşadası Hostel Apart DOĞANBEY VILLAGE Activities
Doğanbey Village was established at the very heart of Milet-Priene-Didyma, the settlement areas of ancient civilizations that lived in the region, in the unique Büyük Menderes Delta, at the foot of Samsun (Mikale) Mountain. The village, overlooking the Aegean Sea from its slope, is located within the protected area of the Dilek Peninsula National Park.
This village, which was called Domatia until 1924, when the settled Greek population was exchanged with the Turkish population in Greece, increased its population with the immigrant villagers who came to the region in the 1980s and moved to Yeni Doğanbey Village on the coast to deal with fishing and cotton farming. Stone houses, some of which are 100 years old, located on the edge of the forest, are in harmony with the natural and cultural environment.
Doğanbey Village is 40 kilometers from Kuşadası, 155 kilometers from Bodrum, 25 kilometers from Söke, 35 kilometers from Didim, 125 kilometers from İzmir, and 420 kilometers from Istanbul by Bandırma ferry (530 kilometers from Yalova ferry).
